British Crafts exhibitions showcase the work of many of Britain's finest designer makers featuring both well-established artists and new talent - see the list (below) of selected makers from previous British Crafts events. You will be able to see, and buy direct from the makers, a stunning range of gold & silver handmade jewellery; bright and original textiles, handknits, silks; extraordinary ceramics, porcelain, raku, stoneware, earthenware & fine bone china; exciting silversmithing & metalwork; wonderful wooden toys, unusual furniture & wooden boxes; sparkling blown, stained & kiln-formed glass and much much more.
Chiswick Town Hall is the perfect venue for a British Crafts exhibition. A spacious, light and airy Edwardian listed building with magnificent original features, it mirrors the quality and workmanship of the traditional and modern products being exhibited. The two entrance hallways have beautiful stained glass skylights and there is also a spectacular marble room and staircase. The British Crafts cafe, catered by the Angel Cafe, is a good place to re-fuel with a tantalising selection of homemade sandwiches, cakes, fresh coffee and tea.
British Crafts Bristol at Paintworks, a Victorian paint factory which has been beautifully restored to create a new creative quarter for Bristol, is uniquely suited to a British Crafts exhibition - both offering cutting edge design while preserving the traditional. The cafe upstairs, the well-known Bocabar, will also offer a good resting place with exceptional food.
